How we made our pottery?

Allow us to clarify you how is held the production of our products:

STEP1: The clay is generally taken out from the depth of about 4-6 meters of solid ground. We then leave the clay to dry out in the sun for about 4-6 weeks.
STEP2: We then melt the clay with salt and sand for about 3-4 days depending on the weather. The salt in the clay makes the clay frost resistant and all so helps the plants in the winter months. We then knead the clay by foot to make sure that we have an even texture without any stones.
STEP3: The clay is then placed into a strong mixer and is mixed for a couple of hours, making sure that all the air is out of it. This will then give us a firm strong clay base to work with.
STEP4: Is the job of the craftsman to create a unique piece of pottery that will be admired for many years to come.
STEP5: Once the craftsman has put the finishing touches to the pottery it is then left to dry slowly in a cool shady place for about 6-8 days, depending on the weather.
STEP6: We then stack the pottery inside a big oven approx the size of a 20ft container. The oven is then sealed shut.
STEP7: We then fire the pottery slowly using wood for about 4-6 hours. Then we take the skins and the stones from the olives to fuel the fire, this also brings the temperature of the oven very high, and this will burn for 15 hours.
STEP8: Once the flames have stopped we leave the pottery in the oven to slowly cool down. To make the pottery stronger it will stay in the oven cooling down for about 7-10 days.
STEP9: Once the pottery has been taken out of the oven it is stacked in our warehouse ready for shipping all over the world.
